It's about incremental politics.

In 1965, when the socialists passed the first Medicare bill, it cost very little. Lyndon Johnson was assailed with the predictions that it would grow into the obscene monster that it is today. His answer was that that would be a problem for FUTURE congresses, and that his problems were current.

He was right-and that is the crux of the problem for conservatives arguing against the recent Medicare bill. If we slide back into the darkness of Bobdole's Disease, and allow the socialists to once again accrue majority power, they will turn the current bill into an even greater obscene monster than the original program became. If we remain DILIGENT, the current bill has the beginnings of true privatization and reform.

The beginnings of Social Security private accounts is the beginning of the incremental abolition of the Greatest Fraud in Human History. If we remain DILIGENT, this Ponzi scheme can be stifled with a minimum of damage.

If we wait until the Victim Generations show up like cops at a crack house, we DESERVE every bit of suffering we will get, and we BECOME the lesson of history...
