Quite frankly, I see that as a significant distortion. The issue isn't globalization, it's the economic policies that surround globalization. When the US subsidizes the cotton industry to the tune of $4B/year, that is an anti-globalization economic policy. Steel tariffs, lumber tariffs are anti-globalization policies.
Be so kind as to point out where I defended these practices.

You must be a liberal. You want to snidely toss a quarter into the beggar's tin cup. I say give them a job.

Re foreign aid: Ignoring the charity fo the poah benighted chillen issue, for many decades the US was practically the only nation in that game. Now that Japan and Europe have achieved some prosperity, it's about time they took up part of the load They've got A LOT of catching up to do.

And this ignores the assumption that we owe them charity in the first place.
