Cutting taxes allows people to keep more of what is rightfully theirs in the first place. It is not "giving to the rich".

The problem is that the budget surplus was created by individuals like me and my high tech counterparts who made a fortune in the 90s... and Bush took the liberty of taking MY MONEY and doleing it out to his smokestack industry friends in the form of massive pork programs. Those pork recipients did not create the surplus in the 90s, CALIFORNIA and Yuppies and the TECH INDUSTRY DID. That money was not Bush's to plunder, that is the issue.

Now, if Bush had just taken the federal budget and reallocated the treasury such that tax cuts benefitted those that paid the most taxes in a single year, as a sort of zero sum game where the budget was in the same shape it was in in 2000... nobody would complain. But Bush gutted the ENTIRE TREASURY with these bogus initiatives, under the guise of "jobs and growth".

It's truly amazing that in this day and age of wealth and prosperity, there remains so many with the mentality and awareness of barefoot savages...

There are some people, if they don't already know, you can't tell them. I admire your effort and good luck with American Sister.
