Leaning to lowering but not a fait accompli yet..
I'd say likely near term.. we have a huge lobby of whiners complaining about export revenues dropping as we are joined at the hip with the US and our currency rises.....
There is likely an election coming shortly as our latest king Martin (he of the seeming brown nose) was crowned not elected...
Former king Chrétien was stressing development of Asian trade but as always Politics rules over prudence..

we shall see...

OTOH I am starting to hear folks extolling the virtues of a stronger loonie vis a vis higher standard if living getting airplay...

I remember when rock was younger..
Had an old green chevy and a place of my own.
and I'd drive down to Plattsburg NY Pyramid Mall to get cheap electronics with my Cannabuck (no loonies back then) at par or even better ;o)
