Seem like nothing to worry about at this point in time. But from the amount of Chinese products in our stores, and the number of Chinese- made products we received or gave for Christmas they are making a huge move into international trade and profits. That should make China more aware of dependance on other countries, more willing to try to fit in to other societies. to reduce those things that bother us or that could result in sanctions , like child labor or treatment of women, etc. With so much manufacturing moving overseas from the US, our success will depend the advancement of science and studies such as those producing more productive crops, more efficient energy producing or consuming products, and the more complicated devices such as jetliners, computers, drugs. Satellites, missile defense systems, wireless technology, video games, movies, entertainment. It seems (sadly) that nothing is simple anymore, riverboat captains, railroad engineers, coal miners, even farming requiring far more education or thinking than in the past. I regret that we are losing touch with one-on-one personal relationships in small towns, the self confidence developed by hard work or the ability to live off the land. Sig. (hoping the Chinese forget about their ill treatment while building our cross country railroads)
