Boy I could have used some good tires today. Chains too. i was first up the mountain and went to the top lot. Two other goofs followed me in. On the way out I said "Gee where is every body? I would have thought that half the coast would have been up here today " About a mile on I find them. Stupid parents have got a toboggan run set up on the road. The road is now glazed ice. I am locked up and the truck is bouncing down the road in the ruts. The kids do not move nor do the parents. So I select a nice deep ditch do drive down. Stupid parents do not realize that most drivers would have kept sliding untill they had a nice soft kid under the tire to get traction with. Talk about dumb. Anyway the road was nice and shiny all the way down. I drove in the virgin snow at the side of the road, 4 wheel lock, bull low, and one foot riding the break while feather throttling with the right. I bet there will be 4 or 5 fender benders up there today. There was one guy with a shovel jammed under his front tire. I stopped and offered to help but he said no he was backing down the road. Backing down the road consisted of pulling out the shovel,letting the car slide backward and jamming the shovel under the tire before the car got too much momo. Wife in passenger seat, kid in back , no driver...just dad and his shovel. This is why I normaly avoid going to a popular spot. Most folks are just too dumb for words and I am afraid I might hurt their feelings by pointing out how dumb their acts are. The scary part being that I do not consider myself at the top of the gene pool or anything. take care ralfphie aint life grand ? better than ay comedy movie I have seen in years.
