Hawk. Good article. It is fascinating to see how stupidity and wrong decisions can affect leaders of other countries.

What's more interesting is that the press in countries where France would like to undermine US influence are discussing it publicly.. This has got to be a bit humiliating for Chirac's government.

They turned against their greatest friend and ally. Course that was chirac and not necessarily all of France

Not all, just the 33% who, when polled, asserted they would prefer to see Saddam win instead of the US.
