re: ####://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en...

thecow,

I didn't know search web site Google had message boards.

I don't know what Frames are, except for what I can observe,
and on the page your URL takes me to:

if I click onto "View without frames"
the left "tree" of posts disappear
and included is a "View with frames"
that brings back the tree that one can navigation with.

I remember BobZ coded the start of this for iHub,
but decided there was not enough interest or demand for it.

I forget the better name for this type of structure,
as "tree" was not the term BobZ used.

TheCow,

<<If that doesn't work you might have a corrupted ShellIconCache. Here's how to rebuild it.>>

I am definatly not qualified to "rebuild" anything inside any compter, inside you car engine? ok.. no problem.

After running that last scan and getting a clean bill of health, I have tried a setting that seems ok for now. It's the one that aligns the icons automaticly, and since it puts them in columns, and the right most column is what I use, I'll just put up with it this way.

Thanks ever so much for the help,
rrufff said it best way...
"Any thoughts would be appreciated and thanks again and best wishes for the new year to what may be the most informed group of posters on any message board."

You fellows are great.

Thanks again,

Hal
