Your reference to the German occupation of Sudatenland and Austria by Hitler, is frankly, offensive to me. Tough Luck. I will go one further and tell you Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should be on trial for international war crimes. Bush is the biggest liar on the planet and a genuine war criminal. You do not invade other countries on baseless lies, kill thousands of innocent civilians, and then be proven wrong about the grounds for war. Bush is a fascist pig and his policies directly threaten the US, they increased terrorism, and the the patriot act is the biggest threat to the Bill of rights that we have ever seen. People locked up without even being cahrged for years. May your fate be one of being accused, locked up for 2 years with no access to a lawyer. Perhaps then you will change your mind. If you find this offensive, I could care less. M

We have ignored the radical islamic fundamentalist movement for too long. It is and has been apparant that the overthrow of secular govts or govts in middle east friendly to the west is one of their goals, to say nothing of the many planned and at least two successful attacks at the world trade center on American soil. Isn't it odd that one of the goals of the so-called radical fundamentalists was the overthrow of the secular regime in Iraq? The WTC attack was a success, not because two buildings collapsed in New York, but because it so enraged and confused Americans that they retaliated against Iraq, an act of unprovoked aggression on a par with the Iraq invasion of Kuwait or the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. 9/11 was the perfect provocation and succeeded far beyond Bin Laden's wildest imaginings. If only the US had focused on eliminating Al Qaeda. Now it doesn't matter what happens to Bin Laden. He'll go to his grave with a smile on his face.

Little Joe, I totally agree that the US should pursue its own interest. The problem with the Iraqi invasion is precisely that it is prejudicial to our interests. Two steps would pretty much solve our Arab problem: 1) Stop both legal and illegal immigration of Arabs from the middle east into our country, and send everybody who is here illegally back to where they came from. 2) Stop supporting one side in the Palestinian/Israeli tribal fight over land. Both sides are acting like weasels fighting in a hole --- why the hell do we care which side wins? It is not in our interest to be mixed up in that conflict.
