Don't go thinking I am just a Republican basher.
LBJ was one of the worst presidents this country ever had.
I am not particulary fond of FDR either.

I guess my favorite was Teddy Roosevelt but I am sure he is far from perfect in many ways.

I happen to be fond of the truth.
And telling lies to start a war is the single worst thing someone can do, in my eyes.

I am glad Hussein is gone.
But he was contained and was going to die someday just as Castro is gonna die someday. The time to get Hussein was under Bush I. I supported that war and was pissed we did not finish the job then. That does not mean we have the right to invade 20 years later.

Getting rid of Hussein, took our eyes off OBL, cost $200B, stirred up US hatred, cost US lives, destabalized the ME, damaged our worldwide reputation, caused fueds with allies, and did nothing to improve the security of the US. In fact we spent Billions and just made things worse. I would suggest the outcome could hardly be worse. BTW, yes you are correct. Attacking Saudi Arabia would have made more sense. Instead, we let a SA plane leave the US right after 911, when everything else was grounded. Why was that anyway?
