Delusions in Baghdad
A very very interesting book review on Iraq.
Insightful as well as accurate.
It was written before the capture of Hussein and accurately foretold what that capture would mean.
Great reading.

Litlle Joe is right that America needs to look at for our own interests and not pander to world opinion.

Oddly enough I agree that the US should look out for the US.
But we should have protected our borders, we should stop granting all the student visas from unfriendly countries, we should police the border with Mexico, and we should have better guards at ports of entry.

I draw the line a clear violations of international law.
That was the mistake.
Personally I would pull all troops out of Germany and let Germany defend itself if it wants to.

Why should all our soldiers be spending they money in Germany anyway. I would rather have them spending their $ in the US, protecting our ports of entry and guarding our borders, not Germany's.

We do not need troops in Japan either.
Same story.
Japan has enough money to defend itself.

The main reason for 911 was OBL did not like US troops on sacred Saudi soil. Well in that regard, I agree. We had no business being there and if we were not there, 911 would not have happened.

You want to protect the US, then protect our borders, stop being so hypocritical, stop insisting that everyone else but us follow international law, and stop supporting idiots like Hussein in the first place on the grounds of "the enemy of our enemy is our friend".

We supported both Hussein and OBL. Our own CIA trained Bin Laden. Probably the best training our CIA ever did on anything anywhere.

Why should we be surprised when this sh*t comes back to bite us in the ass. You support unstable idiots like Hussein and this is what happens.
