alas, all the monetary cargo drops by the current GSE welfare program have not resulted in positive real income growth. this has to matter at some point.

Milton Friedman would be the first to tell you that we aren't in a depression or even a recession. If you caught the interview with him on CNBC back six months ago, he was extremely positive on the state of the economy. He did worry about the lack of fiscal restraint that comes from one party having too much control on spending.
