Well the slope is flattened but it still positive relative to inflation and interest rates. The market isn't raising long term interest rates. If you notice, interest rates all over the world have been falling, even in the low trust risky countries that don't have a Greenspan or widespread consumer type credit creation. The only places where rates have been rising have been in the countries hanging onto Socialism like Australia and Hungary.
