You got sold a bill of goods but were given an empty crate. Well, it all worked out just fine. I became a capitalist after reading Ayn Rand in my early twenties. You might try re-reading the New Testament as an adult seeking wisdom. I have never read the Bible other than some psalms that we used to read each day in school. I tried a couple of times, but it was just too dense and didn't seem worth the effort. Sort of like learning Japanese. Nice to have under your belt but not something I want to spend much of what I have left of my life on.
