"Sure, I could speed read the book in two evenings. People spend whole lifetimes studying the Bible.

betcha

I wasn't talking about going to a seminar. I'm sure Neocon could lecture to you on it for years. I suggested reading it as an adult seeking wisdom (using your own head). You want the Babtist version Ok. but you'll end up with the same attitude about the bath tub as you have about nun's habits.

"Good thing none of our Christian fundamentalist friends are around to hear about your two-evening approach."

The idiots thing is full of pop propoganda. Just read the NT portion of a more traditional text... like KJ version. Maybe skip revelations, and all the stuff Paul and friends wrote. Ignore the comments in the margins if you like. In fact, if you can find one that has the words of Jesus highlighted you could probably cover it in an hour or two.

I also read 'Proverbs'. Wow...

Hey. You know the so called 'Golden Rule' that Jesus 'invented' and thus 'changed' the religion. Nope... It's in the OT.
