Perhaps I read your response too quickly. On going over it (compelled by your honest response), I see that you are locating the "golden rule" in the Old Testament, rather than in Jesus--(sloppy reading on my part! :-)). Of course, it did not originate with those primitive kids either. Pittacus (650 B.C.): Confucius (500 B.C.): Thales (464 B.C.): Sextus (406 B.C.): There were millions, Jewels. MILLIONS! People were treating one another with decency long before the myth of Jesus! So perhaps your remark was not stupid. Perhaps it was just irrelevant.
