Jane did, in fact, declare herself a Christian, although I am not certain of the content of her faith.

One thing to keep in mind with Jane is that she started out a bimbo ("Barbarella", "Any Wednesday"), and wanted to be taken seriously. She had notoriety, and became politicized, and suddenly her opinion mattered to people, whether for or against. Once she grew up, it was almost inevitable that she would regret some of her actions........
