MSI... if you B*tching about the PA being used for non-terrorist related investigations, then I would concur with you that it's being applied too broadly..

I'm not against revising it to prevent such abuses..

But I'll be damned if I'm going to be happy seeing the situation on intelligence sharing between domestic LEAs and intelligence agencies go back to the dysfunctional state that permitted 9/11 to occur..

We're in a war, MSI... Maybe you fail to recognize that, but we are.

And it's an unconventional war, fought covertly, through law enforcement counter-intelligence operations, as well as through political and economic means..

So far as I'm concerned your conspiratorial scenarios are just as invalid as the post-9/11 scares being circulated around about martial law being initiated...

Because if what you say is true, then these cops and Federal Agents know that they are susceptible to the same scrutiny.. Don't you think they will use it against one another in order to gain professional advantage?

During WWII, various parts of the United States were under Martial Law from time to time.. Now if you want to take about suspension of civil rights, you need only to reflect back to what this country was like at that time...

Yet, somehow freedom survived... And we were able to vote out (as well as vote in) corrupt politicians..

So just relax a bit...
