Lets be clear here. We liberated France only because they were in the path to Berlin. It was a means to an end. That end had little to do with France. Its not like we got into the war to liberate France.

Funny, I thought we fought Germany because they declared war on the US on December 11th, 1941..

We liberated France from German occupation.

France, in 1944?

Yes.. But French North Africa in 1942? There were no Nazi troops in French N. Africa occupying those territories..

Just French soldiers..
