There's no doubt that the gov't must pull in the reigns on
massive deficit spending or pay the piper big time. If
they do, expect it to impact the outsized expansion of GDP
& bring on either another recession or an economy limping
along with jobless, near zero GDP growth. The gov't will
likely increase taxes (somewhere) & drastically cut
spending at the same time. With consumers already holding
record levels of debt, they will be less likely to
increase spending with less take home pay & a tight job
market.
