Last I heard, a majority of Americans think Saddam was involved in 9/11, despite an explicit acknowledgement that there was no evidence of that by W himself. Of course, W can say one thing and have the operatives putting out another message entirely, so his disavowal doesn't mean much by itself. I'm sure there are moderates that support W, but I can't see any reason to put the "non-conformist" "middle of the road" Hawkmoon in that class.
