Bush inherited a recession and 911.
Carter inherited a growing economy.

Carter didn't have that advantage of a strong economy and budget going in. I am no expert on Carter but the 70s

Come on. Neither did Bush. The economy slipped into recession during the third quarter of 2000. The Nasdaq composite went from 5100 in March 2000 to under 3000 BEFORE Bush took office. Job losses lagged that growth and equity slowdown, as they always do (you could look it up but you are too lazy to do that).

You're no expert on much of anything that you write about around here. Earlier today you criticized Bush for inciting stagflation. Under Carter, stagflation reached its apex with a misery index (inflation plus unemployment) of over 20. Under Bush, inflation is at the lowest point of your lifetime (yes, not nearly the lowest, but the absolute lowest). Unemployment, at 5.9 percent currently, is lower than it has been in almost 60 percent of the months since the mid-1970's. Yes, lower. Not "worst ever", as you are so fond of saying, but lower. You can deny the statistics are accurate (though curiously you did not deny their accuracy when they favored Democrats). But that's what they show.
