Lorne, can you take that anti-Muslim hat of yours for the sake of thought clarity.

The Libyan oil barons pressured Col. Gaddafi to do everything needed to open markets in the Westerm economies, The economic sanctions were hurting the oil barons. Finally the Col. gave in to their pressure, Besides he is the chair of the OAU. His fellow African nations also pressured him. And lastly, he did not have a Uday and Kusay with him.

Over 25 years of economic sanctions is a sufficient enough period of time to break a nation's economic infrasructure. With Iraq we did not impose sanctions long enough. How could we when we had our Ramboyish President go in with the troops in the name of fighting terrorism.
