Eliminating the income cap turns SS into a welfare
program unless the higher income taxpayers get a
commensurate benefit.

Privatization is hardly a "scheme". It is the only
sound way to run such a program. The current system
is the "scheme"!

The suggestion of moving the 50-50 split of the
tax burden all to the employer is ludicrous.
It doesn't help the workers at all!
Their wages would be lowered to compensate!
