perfesser lurq- impressive writing! i've been reading your stuff studiously for a couple of years. you keep yourself well educated and always provide excellent insight. your writing and commentary has always been reminiscent to me of an exceptionally motivated history or sociology professor... but i must say this effort breaks through that elusive barrier that separates those possessing merely exceptional intellectual talent from the powerfully talented literary artists. that piece of writing was superb. historically astute, logically correct, compassionately honest, humbly presented and literarily simple and crisp -- yet poignant, profound and powerful. definitely a werdball grand slam! ...written as if you've been writing professional editorials for the most respected newspapers and magazines in the world all your life. kudos, bravo, bully and encore dude. thanks, -ep who ARE you, really?

The youth will face an enslaving draft....this oligarchy will continue to subvert the constitution... to produce a hell-on-earth... Forget Social Security, Medicare or any other..... I see the Bushista agenda in exactly the same terms. What we need to do is to mobilize the youth who will necessarily be interested in learning that Bush will draft them and turn them into IED-fodder in the streets of Fallujah and Tikrit if they vote for Bush, or don't bother to vote. And the seniors need to be educated to the fact that their programs are designed to be drastically curtailed by the Bush meanies. Joe Six Pack needs to get his head out of the sand and realize that his future is threatened by Bush's malevolent attitude toward working men and women. And the moralists really ought to catch a clue as to what a criminal operation the Bush Crime Family really is. Education, and scaring the bejeezus out of the public, seems to be the key to a Democratic landslide in November.
