Hello ild, I glance at HUGO RESTALL's writing in the Asian WSJ, and have met the guy at a function. He is a twit but is good to follow just to see what his type is spewing. I met him in 1997 during the leadup to HK handover to China, he said HK was doomed.

Once the new HK airport opened a few days after handover, and had about two weeks of operating hiccups (as opposed to Denver's 10 year chuckup), he wrote the hiccups was a sign that HK was doomed.

He spoke one week too early.

His writing is a comfort, because it is precisely what is not happening :0)

Chugs, Jay
