As I stated earlier, Micron now has no ground to stand on when it comes to any claim of bad action by Rambus...unclean hands (one of my favorite legal terms!). I agree that Micron credibility is gone..but does this necessarily lead to settlement talks between Micron and Rambus? I think Micron leadership could not withstand the one-two punch of admitting price fixing and then quickly thereafter agreeing to pay Rambus millions. Can you say suicide?

Since the Delaware Micron/Rambus case is stayed at present, I look for Micron to try to buy time until something happens to crystalize the Rambus situation. They will pray for an FTC decision that will weaken Rambus and they will light incense in hope of some new evidence appearing to somehow weaken the CAFC decision....but, boy, I don't see how anything like that is going to happen.

If the FTC matter clears up, then Rambus lawyers threaten to amend their pleadings to add anti-trust claims against Micron for the death of RDRAM. Don't want those new claims filed....sign right here on this past and future royalty agreement.

Ooooh, even Carl can appreciate a gambit like that!
