Gottfried,

You've got the last 6 or 7 posts on the HTP thread.

It appears that HTP is dying out. It served a purpose for refugees of the original Strictly Drilling thread, but now HTP appears to lack direction and cohesion.

What was once a vibrant melting pot of ideas and topics, now resembles the Earth after the asteroid 70 million years ago. A few dinosaurs still lumbering around, and in fact may continue to do so for another 50 million years, but the handwriting is on the wall for their ultimate fate.

At least HTP didn't die out like other threads, with bickering and factions taking sides.

Maybe everyone can come back one more time and tell us what they've been doing or where they've been hanging out (online). A "What are they doing now?" type reunion.

GF,

Things are pretty slow at the end of the year here, and many folks have moved on. For me, this has been an exciting investing year, full of promises fulfilled (RRI, OMG, AAR) and a few promises broken.

In any event, as an optimist, I feel better and wiser as a speculator in almost all areas I choose to play in, so that's all good.

All indicators say this market continues higher in the New Year. Back in February very few (including myself) would have imagined a trifecta of a Dow of +10,000, an SP-500 above 1100 and a Naz over 2000.

Having identified the major market trend (UP), it simply falls on us to now identify the most likely stocks to rise higher than the averages.

Afghanistan falls, Iraq falls, Saddam crawls out of a hole . . .

Happy New Year to all,

Kb
