Neocon,

Funny you should pick 40 years ago. In 1973 the Trilateral Commission was formed - trilateral.org.

Many who think the UN runs the Black Helicopters that spy on all of us would be surprised at the real World Government that runs them.

That's a pretty good spin you put on things Neocon. Are you a journalist?

Things are not the same as they were 40 years ago. The gov is doing much more spying on it's people than it ever has before. The trend in the 70's was from people realizing what was going on and remanding protections from the government. Now Bush is undoing that and more on top. And technologically we are eons ahead of the 50's and 60's and the invasion of privacy the gov is capable of now is 100% of your entire life. That's everything about you in their computers in the TIA program. That's Total Information Awareness. The criminal Poindexter used to be in charge of that program but he proved to be too much of an embarrassment even for Bush and was moved aside. The problem is people often reach a point where they stop investigating and learning and really just see what adds to what they already believe. I used to see things very much like you. But that's just the smoke and mirrors.

And a very good research study

There's more but you most likely will not even look at this. If nothing else look at the last link if you want to read a very good scholarly study.
