What is your point? We know he was addicted by his own admission.

If you think buying thousands of pills over years time is significant, you know little of addicts, recreational users and no clue about distribution level narcotics traffic.

That is a good thing. However, that being said, purchasing narcotics, pills of heroin, morphine etc without the intent to distribute generally doesn't carry a presumption of incarceration.
