Eric,

SWM-Although the folks at Northair are experienced gold vein miners, I don't believe gold veins are not the main target at "Chicago". A visit to MAE's web site to see the maps on the Chicago area of the belt is worthwhile. "Chicago" is centred on the widest 10 kilometer section of a 30 kilometer long felsic dome (I am aware of at least one other large, archean age felsic dome in the Slave that hosts similar high grade, but narrow gold and silver values. This other prospect is not currently being worked but has unfortunately taken to lease by a major. There, the silver is in sulfosalts). The copper grab samples showing up at Chicago, along with high grade gold and silver, suggest there is potential for a precious metal rich VMS in this section of the belt. Who would say no to another Horne deposit-a huge vms copper deposit with .25 opt gold, or a shallow water emplaced, Archean age gold and silver rich, "Eskay Creek" vms analogue, and near tide water? There are few if any remaining under explored felsic domes left in Canada offering this kind of exploration potential. Also, Wolfden Resources recently demonstrated at High Lake that exploration for vms deposits in the Slave can still be successful, both technically and for shareholders in terms of share price. Its early days, but at least there is a shot for a significant NEW discovery.
cheers,
teevee
