I personally know people using QT with ZA. Don't know any specific users with ZA Pro

You do now. I'm using ZA4, QT, and Ameritrade/Datek as sources. I don't know the reasons for Datek and ZA Pro's problem (I'll take your word for it) but I can attest to having constant problems with Datek's Streamer a couple of years ago and that's when I found and started using QT.

I think there's a typo in the ZA quote:

"Streamer needs to have a continuous flow out (should it read "of"?) outside data in order to function while ZoneAlarm Pro tries to prevent continuous flows of outside data."

Jerry, I use QT with ZA [free] on a Win XP and on a Win 98 machine [the 98 is a seldom used backup]. Data is from IB.

No problems.
