no you aren't. Lazarus and OMD and a few other people. Not that it matters though since a msg board is for general discussion anyway.

Actually I missed that you posted to me on this thread otherwise I wouldn't have replied, I thought you were posting from the Bush thread where we are discussing this topic.

This work visa program killed us, even Bush knows it, tech executives know it- thats why Bush is trying to rework the entire immigration program and "let everyone stay who has a job". The problem is, with this level of unemployment that won't fly. Rock/hard place, and no real recovery for years.

The technology that allows offshoring and outsourcing is here. Period. You can't get the genie back in the bottle. The internet and cheap international communications via communications satellite can't be uninvented. Even if the US were to ban their use, other countries have them and would use them, gain a competitive advantage, and steal US export markets, in addition to acquiring the ability to flood our domestic market with cheap imports unless we abandoned WTO and erected tariff barriers.

Given the above, please ask Lizzie how she intends to solve this problem. The solution must be legal, Constitutional, able to withstand court challenge, and implementable and practical. If withdrawal from international trade agreements is part of the solution, the fact that other nations can retaliate against your actions must be accounted for.
