I tended to agree with that statement and I have pondered it for a long time. If you step back and give it a hard look, turne it 180 degrees around you'll see the long term as a very long string of very short terms. Similar as the year being made of seconds, the distance from KL to Wyoming is made of meters or the matter made out of tiny particules.

I concluded that micro runs the show. But the 'technik' called economy, takes a helicopter, fly over the construct, see the macro composed of tiny strings of micro and conclude that macro runs the show.
