isnt that why we have the pork bellies in DC ? :-)

Pork bellies? ROFL!

OK. Some more questions.

Why would you redirect some of the FICA tax into self-directed retirement accounts rather than just reducing the tax by four percent a year and letting people do what they want with their tax cut?

Would you reduce the FICA tax for employers by four percent a year, as well, or continue to use the full amount as a source of funding during the transition?

Since the current system is a welfare program that provides a basic safety-net income for many seniors who could never be able to save enough in their lifetimes to survive retirement on their own, would you create some alternative federal or state welfare system for these destitute or would you expect charity to take care of them, or would you just have them work until they dropped if they couldn't afford to stop? Or what? And if you did provide a welfare system, would you include those who had become destitute because they mishandled their retirement accounts.

And lastly, who do you think would vote or not vote for someone who ran on your platform?

Maybe you do or don't know, many more people than retired folk draw out of the SS system.
