I agree. In fact, at the time it happened, we discussed it here but I didn't really know anything about Wellstone, the man. Nevertheless, what I could put together about his death made me believe he was definitely "taken out". The circumstances are more than coincidental --- just like 9-11. I actually find it hard to believe that there are such ruthless people in the US who will clearly stop at nothing in the achievement of their political ends.

I found that article by Jackson Thoreau to be very interesting. Thank you for posting it.

I understand that. Unfortunately, it's very easy to say something one doesn't mean. Happens all too frequently. The difficulty is actually because one is attempting to translate subjective thought and emotion into language and the written word. And please don't think I'm a "thread-nanny" or something of that sort.

As an aside, I used to be an examiner in my field during my professional life and I found that setting an exam question, where the candidate would understand exactly what I wanted, was an extremely difficult task even if the questions were straightforward. To the extent that I eventually used various people to "interpret" my questions and to see whether they could read them the way I wrote them, before the exam paper was set.
