Its very inexpensive to convert the R12 to the R134A. I did my sons Cherokee for about $35!! Just go to Autozone or Pep Boys and buy the conversion kit. Works fine, no need to change out condenser or anything. Only thing you need to do is have a friend or pay someone who can vacuum out all the old freon. I had a friend. haha. jdn
