Huge Wealth -- Intellect your guess.

Conrad Black. -- Newspaper advert salesman

Bud McDougall - office boy turned CEO H. Argus.

P. Desmarais -- Bus driver with political connections.

Campeau -- house builder in Studbury, turned retail megalomaniac

Ron Southern -- Sold aluminum trailers to oil/metal/tree harvesters.

Jimmy Pattison -- Grocer turned wheeler dealer advert King.. privatization whiz.

Galen Weston -- inherited grocery chain, made good

Pat Sheridan -- built the odd mine, bought/sold stock

Reichmann family -- bought real estate, rented, built offices

Thompson -- inherited newspaper chain, made good buying other newspapers, TV stations etc..

Pelladeau -- government publishing contracts, Tabloids in PQ

Bombardier -- acquired patents in playthings, gov't connections.

There are a few more I missed. Inheriting wealth is a sure fire way to make it. Also marrying it.

I don't know how smart you have to be to make money, but it does not take a lot of brains to lose it.

Mark Twain once heard someone comment that another person's wealth was "tainted money." Twain replied: "It certainly is tainted money. T'aint yours, t'aint mine."

Maybe we could stop fixating on Senator Clinton's money and get back to our own?

For example, I would like to know, what is the purest play in lead? Where do your put your money to make money off a rise in the price of lead?
