Nobody listened to Ike on his way out Ray. It is telling that that speech is most often quoted by Democrats and independents now. Our country spends more than the next 20 countries combined on defense, yet we don't have universal health care, something almost all of those other countries have. What country could threaten us, really? What do we need all the guns for now, to gas up our SUVs? With Bush, we seem to be choosing to be the bully on the global block, trading friendship for fear and greed.
