Limtex and others, just a possible scenario for 2004.

1) The handset market finally begins driving demand for NAND.
2) A large portion of Samsung's output is redirected to the handset market.
3) Increasing component prices result for those without foundries.
4) SanDisk's focus on memory cards continues. Little flash is left over for component sales.
5) Digital camera, MP3, PDA sales growth continue as anticipated.
6) SanDisk continues to sell cards derived from "captive" sources at a nice profit.
7) SanDisk continues to sell cards derived from "non-captive" sources at competitive prices.
8) SanDisk's licensing revenues increase substantially.

I think one unknown is how NOR suppliers will react to NAND competition. It could get ugly.

By 2005 we may see new entrants flooding the market, but not without a fight.
