Hitler's regime was the government of Germany when we went to war against Germany. We went to war against an evil government. You might want to re-read my earlier post. It seems you have misunderstood it. If the government of Syria is supporting the Al-Quaida type world organizations then yes we should address the government of Syria agressively. If, however their are militant groups that are estranged from the mainstream of Syria, then we should seek diplomatic cooperation from the government of Syria to route them.
