You mean hyperbolic. (exaggerated)

Actually hyperbolic is a curve approaching the asymptotes, or 0 on the X and Y axis. Hardly an auspicious comparison, as it decreases in X as it increases in Y and vice versa.

Parabolic concave up, depending on the formula, would increase rather nicely. Most stocks are parabolic concave down, tending to decrease their rate of increase with time.

Really they should say, "going geometric" to indicate increase at a furious rate.
