Don't men take more then one wife in that country so how can this be? Not if they don't have jobs and a secure income.. Arab parents of females generally expect a hefty dowery.. I found an article via a websearch, and posted on Free Republic, that mentions that the average Saudi dowery is expected to be R200,000 (about $53,000). 209.157.64.200 For an un(der)employed Saudi male, it makes more economic sense to find a relatively inexpensive Western bride..
