Given that it is true, bear in mind that Iraq's border is very porous since Saddam's departure. And Al Qaeda has entered Iraq in significant numbers.


That would not explain the presence of Al Qaeda materials in an Iraqi (read: government) weapons cache. Face it, Saddam has been hiring Al Qaeda types for some time now. They were called "Uday's fedayeen". It was hoped that they would fight the Americans, since Saddam was not expecting too much from most of his army.
