Looking at it from a political perspective, that seems like a good thing to me. This "feel good" Christianity reminds me of the 70s Left Wing Churchs with "Guitar Masses" and "Worker Priests." All very uplifting, in a crowd situation where you don't have to personally do anything but show up. It's pablum, and easy to sell, obviously. Perfect for Families that want to feel they have fed some morality to the kids, and had some "quality time" together. But they will tend to vote Republican. Church/nonChurch is the largest divider of Republican/Democrat vote.
