The Bubble of American Supremacy

Thanks, a good read. Its analogy between our delusional foreign policy and a market bubble is most appropriate for this forum. Also, I liked the attention given that Iraq, although it is a disaster, is a wake-up call. A call that if unheeded, will lead to a far bigger disaster, Sort of like saying Greenspan should have raised margin requirements in both '97 and again in '98. Pop the balloon when it's small, or live with the consequences of a "Big Bang".

As you know, for some time I've been in the camp that says the Twin Towers was a crime - not an act of war. And that except in rare and ephemeral cases, the military is not only the wrong tool to address the problem, but likely to exacerbate the problem to the detriment of our security. But if you are a conservative RW paranoid, filled with fear, and believe that you can force others adopt the behavior you want, then you fall right into the hands of those that make a profit off the foolish quest for power.
