Theresa Heinz has about 650 million. She can easily pay off the mortgage on their home, etc., after the campaign is over. What John is doing now is surprising some by really going for it, and freeing himself up to campaign full-time. He knows Iowa and NH are everything so why not? He has reportedly put in about 7 million. The news media didn't even know he had that much. Maybe he has more. Also, Theresa can legally run issue ads backing his candidacy so long as she doesn't use any candidate's name. No limits there.
