PS It should be a US requirement for Jordan, Egypt and even Saudi participate in this peace process. What is killing these states and the arab people is Palestinian terrorism. The situation of those poor folks is owed as much to the ambivalence of the arab states as to perceived israeli repression. Honest folks will agree with this--#1 culpability of arabs and #2. what has become israeli repression. Once this is accepted peace can happen. Turn the Pals attention eastward, away from the mythical theft of land and toward the help of their arab bretheren to improve their lot. All else can follow.

To me, it's all moot until Arafat is gone & when the
Palestinians not only stop all acts of terrorism against
Israel, but dismantle all of their terrorist organizations
entirely. Then there's the matter of their anti-semitism &
extremist religious ideologies that they allow to
fester........

Don't get me wrong. I think that this is a step in the
right direction by Egypt. It's just that there are so many
steps that the ME Arabs & Palestinians need to take before
they will have real credibility with me.
