Things need to change on the tax side as well. In NJ it is property taxes that pay and in other areas its income tax. Thinking outloud here, i think an education value added tax may be the way to go. The tax part perhaps should be federally mandated for states. But in the end the education product needs to be reviewed by non academics because the education establishment is the most reactionary we have and they are a monolith to boot. Mike
