The voting age was 21 not so long ago. That was the argument they used to change it.

Re the drinking age, that's tied in with drugs and sex and other "morality" issues. Not likely to change any time soon.

At the end of the Vietnam war, that very argument tipped public opinion and for most of the country the drinking age dropped to 18.

A person is old enough to fight & possibly die for the country but can not buy a drink ?

And then a few of us ruined it for every one and it went back up to 21.

But I agree, pick an age, 18, 20, 21, and make that the point you are an adult and you get the whole package of rights and responsibilities.
